If you’ve ever trained alongside Donna Foley at Coastal, you know she brings energy, consistency, and a great sense of humor to every session. But what really makes her story stand out? She’s a prime example of how staying strong and consistent pays off—especially as life throws us curveballs.

From YMCA to Coastal: A New Chapter

Back in October 2018, Donna found herself looking for more from her workouts. A longtime YMCA member, she had always stayed active—walking on her lunch breaks, playing golf, and even competing in tournament softball during the summers.

But as she got older, she knew she needed a smarter approach to training.

“I felt like I needed to turn it up a notch in order to continue to participate in the sports and activities I enjoy,” Donna says.

After seeing some of our Facebook ads, she took a chance, booked a No Sweat Intro, and signed up for a 30-day trial. She’s been part of the Coastal crew ever since.

Strong Enough to Bounce Back

One of the most powerful parts of Donna’s story? Her recovery after hip replacement surgery.

She had surgery on June 2, 2022 and was back in the gym by July 1—less than a month later—with minimal restrictions.

“I attribute that to being in tip-top Coastal shape prior to surgery.”

And when it comes to her favorite day?

“Any day we’re bench pressing. I love working toward a goal every week and seeing myself get stronger.”
